About this room

Overlooking the famous Pavilion Theatre in the heart of Glasgow’s city centre​,​ the studio is a stone’s throw from major cultural attractions including the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall​,​ the Royal Scottish National Orchestra Centre​,​ the Theatre Royal​,​ and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. The studio contains two Yamaha pianos​,​ both purchased new; a C3X grand and a U1 upright. The pianos are my personal instruments and are kept in superb condition. There are two adjustable piano stools and plenty of seating is available. In addition to the pianos' music desks​,​ there is a Manhasset music stand. The high ceiling creates an excellent clear acoustic suitable for all instruments and voice types. Temperature is controlled with a Dyson Hot + Cool fan heater​,​ and the hire comes with the use of Bose speakers​,​ fibre optic broadband​,​ and charging points. There is also a wall clock to keep track of your practice​/​rehearsal time! Entrance is step-free​,​ and guests will have exclusive use of the hallway​,​ studio​,​ and toilet facilities. Tea and coffee will be happily provided. As a response to COVID-19​,​ there is an option to access the space without meeting the host​,​ and all contact surfaces and touch points​,​ including piano keys​,​ will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between bookings. There will be no back-to-back bookings available​,​ in order to enable room ventilation. In accordance with current Scottish Government rules​,​ a maximum of two musicians will be allowed in the space​,​ keeping a two metre distance​,​ unless they are from the same household. Additionally​,​ singers or woodwind​/​brass instrumentalists cannot rehearse with other musicians unless they are from the same household. The studio is fully insured (Public and Products Liability​,​ instruments​,​ and contents).
