About this room
Important: please send your request 3-4 days in advance :) _ Bright clean room with view on Parc de la Villette. - Old upright piano : GEBR.NIENDORF Norma It's a bit beaten up (no more lid cf.last photo) and not 100% in tune on some notes. I'd say it's perfect for Jazz sessions, or practising basic things or composing but probably not for classical music. - Small drum kit : Pearl Target with Sabian SBR cymbals Same as the piano, quite beaten up, you'll find it fun if you dig "dry" drum sounds like JD Beck's, Chris Dave, or beaten up/muffled cymbals like Jim Black. - Yamaha monitor speakers HS5 + subwoofer HS8s - Audio Interface TASCAM Series 208i, you can use it, if necessary I can provide a couple spare jack/xlr cables and mic stands but you'd have to bring the rest of the recording gear (microphones, laptop...) Convenient location : "Porte de la Villette" metro/tram/bus station is just downstairs (no walking) and a large elevator is available if you need to bring large instruments like double bass, harp, etc.

Room rules
Guitarists can bring their amp, other musicians play acoustic please. Don't use my speakers/audio interface as amps. Only plug your computer or phone. No shoes in the bathroom and rehearsal space. Smoking allowed outside, throw your ashes and cigarette-butt in the disposal area outside (right hand side when going out of the flat) Kitchen is off limits, except microwave but kindly leave it spotless Bed is off limits.

Nice appartement, cozy and enough space for a quartet. We felt as at home, and Charles is very proactive in communication and has helped and welcomed us very warmly.

Charles is super responsive and thoughtful. The space is inviting and inspiring (with green view through the window!). The piano may not be perfectly in tune, but I didn’t find it at all distracting. Its resonance is warm and balanced, pedal works well, keys have a nice weighted touch too. Awesome experience!
